Upon emigrating to New York from Hungary in the 60’s, famed surrealist-nativist sculptor Jozsef Jakovits married his fascination with numerology and Kabbalah, with the then emerging hard edge and pop-art movements, to create a series of fascinating paintings over the following decade.
